What does it mean to become a member of Women with Disabilities Victoria?

Members can contribute to Women with Disabilities Victoria in the following ways:

  • Become involved in one of our leadership programs designed to promote sharing leadership skills.
  • Sharing information with other women through our e-newsletter and email bulletins.
  • Representing women with disabilities on Boards, Committees and forums. These opportunities are circulated to members who have an interest in a particular field.
  • Contributing to government submissions, representations to government and organisations and presentation of conference papers.

Is there a cost to join?

Full membership

Full membership is available to women with disabilities in Victoria. Full membership is free.

Associate membership

Associate membership is open to individuals and/or organisations supportive of the aims of Women with Disabilities Victoria and enables exchange of knowledge, and participation with Women with Disabilities Victoria and its members.

Associate membership is $50 for individuals and $140 for organisations (this includes GST).

Project Manager, Workforce Development Program on Gender & Disability

We're seeking someone who is passionate about advancing the rights of women with disabilities, and who is highly experienced in managing projects and delivering training programs, to come join our friendly Workforce Development team

WDV has developed a strategic priority to influence services by educating and building the capacity of service systems and organisations to be accessible to women with disabilities. A key initiative to support this, is through the Workforce Development Program which supports violence prevention and response workforce development projects. A key program is the Workforce Development Program on Gender and Disability, which aims to increase awareness of how to deliver gender equitable and sensitive services and to influence organisational culture as a strategy for violence prevention and improving women’s well-being and status.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of a range of strategic development priorities and their implementation to support scale up and sustainability of the Workforce Development on Gender and Disability Program.

This is a twelve month tenure, which is subject to a three month probationary period.

Hours are 68.4 per fortnight (0.9 FTE)

Women with Disabilities Victoria welcomes the assistance of skilled volunteers and pro bono supporters in helping us to further our objectives. If you or your organisation have high-level skills to offer, we would love to hear from you!
